Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser
Was the first of its kind that I tried and I fell in love.
I'm a massive Liz Earle fan, all their products are wonderful!
It made my skin feel amazing and moisturised even after cleansing.
It's a thick cream consistency that feels very luxurious on the skin.
I love the smell and that its packed with goodness, it doesn't irritate
my sensitive skin or eyes at all and I found when I stop using it my skin
got worse, when I started using it again it improved.
Pros
Smells lovely
Leaves the skin soft, smooth and hydrated.
Comes with a muslin cloth.
Is affordable.
Improves skin texture and appearance.
Seemed to help my acne.
Made me feel pampered.
Cons
Doesn't last me long enough and I'm very sparing with it as is.
Can still find traces of makeup on the skin after cleansing
Takes a while to do.
Purity by Philosophy
I bought this because I wanted to try something new.
I love my cleanse and polish but I find it annoying how quickly it goes and
having to order it all the time is a hassle. I may go back to it in the future but
I can say this is a fantastic cleanser. It doesn't moisturise the skin like the
Liz Earle cleanser but it doesn't claim to, so its fine. it's removes every trace
of makeup so easily. I can wear a full face and with one cleanse remove it all,
even stubborn mascara. I was pleasantly suprrised. Its a very liquid, milk,
consistency unlike the thick creamy hot cloth cleanser. It's also going to last
me a lot longer then the Liz Earle cleanser. I got mine for £12.50 from boots
for 236ml compared to £14 for 100 ml from liz Earle. Although there are larger
Sizes and promo codes also available. If when I finish this bottle, I still love it
as much as I do now I will buy the 946ml HUGE bottle from qvc it's only £39
and it will last around a year according to others who have reviewed.
Pros
Removes makeup extremely well. Without having to use a cloth.
Is very quick to use if your busy.
Lasts for a long time so don't keep having to repurchase.
Great for oily skin.
Cons
Hard to explain, it doesn't irritate but its kind of uncomfortable on the water line of
your eyes when your cleansing them, doesn't make them sore or water, doesn't
hurt just kind of itches the water line but once you wash it of its fine.
A little bit dry after using it but nothing major that moisturise isn't there for.
Can't help but taste it in your mouth and it tastes like washing up liquid a bit.
Not as gentle on the skin.
If your looking for something that removes makeup quickly whilst showering really
well I'd recommend the purity which is what I'm leaning more towards.
If your looking for something that is great for your skins condition as well as
cleansing the face I'd go for the Liz Earle. I do adore the Liz Earle and will continue
to buy it, I will defiantly purchase a 200ml bottle next time when there's offers or
promo code. I can't say which is my fave because their both so different it really
depends on what you want from a cleanser.
Hope this is helpful.
